There are still way to any issues with the app and quality control issues with the service itself for it to be worth the money alone. I like it because of YT Premium, but I'd hoenstly drop it for Spotify in a heartbeat if they dropped that bundle. Spotify still hand currates their playlists, so the algorithm connects you with a playlist but they playlist always stays unique and fresh. I'm not sure what they changed from GPM for playlists but it isn't working as well.

They get very repetitive because they are based on algorithm alone (I literally had an instance where 3 covers of the same song played in 20 minutes on their playlists).

They have their algorithms, but it hasn't impressed me sofar.Įven playlist wise, YTM is entree than Amazon but nowhere near close to GPM or Spotify. I'd argue Spotify and the former GPM were miles better than YouTube for finding new music, and I am running into quite a few situations where YTM doesn't have artists or albums, or they only have Fan uploads and nothing official.
